Welcome to Naperville’s virtual community! All of us who live here know how lucky we are and how much our community has to offer. After all, Naperville is consistently voted as one of the country’s most livable cities. But the bigger and better we become, often the harder it is to find exactly what we need when we need it. How many times have you wondered how to find a really good dentist, or which soccer league is best for your daughter, or even who do I contact at the City to report a problem?

I’m Lisa Heitzman, and one day I realized there was a need for people in our community to find these kinds of answers easily – and in one convenient place. Technology has changed all of our lives, hopefully for the better, so I created TheModernMall.com of Naperville as a virtual town square, reminiscent of an earlier time when information was easier to come by. It’s the “place” where we can all meet, connect and find exactly what we need – and hopefully even more – right at our own computers. I wanted it to be fun and interactive, a website even my two school-aged children would benefit from.

My background in the corporate world and graphic design was helpful in the development process, as well as the input from many Napervillians. They wanted to find and support our local businesses and talent. I learned that for every $100 spent in our community, $68 will stay in our community if spent at our local businesses vs. only $41, if spent at national chains. We have much to offer each other in Naperville, and if TheModernMall.com can facilitate those connections, I feel the services we provide (storefront and website creation, hosting, and the myriad of new marketing services just for small businesses) can make us all successful contributors to our community.
